Teacher Plaques
Hello crafty club members, teachers and parents, (but most likely crafty club members),
This week we made a lot of headway on our highly anticipated project of the moment - making name plaques for each of the LASA teachers in thanks of everything they do for us. Everybody was assigned a group of teachers to talk to about getting quotes and photos for their plaque. So if you’re a teacher at LASA, expect a visit from one of the members and have a quote ready that you think sums up your teaching philosophy or just something that’s cute or funny, as well as a convenient time for you to take a head shot for your plaque. The LASA teachers in the dungeon will also be included in our project, as well as the band directors, the yearbook/newspaper teacher and the theater teacher.
I would also like to give a huge thanks to Ms. Aguayo-Tabor for generously donating a fabulous STICKER MAKER to the Crafty Club. It is greatly appreciated, as I have never seen a device so awesome and table adhesive. (Seriously, once the thing is opened, its suction powers make it impossible to pull off the table, which is good - LASA students don’t exhibit much grace.) Anyway, we are all excited to be able to use it.

Jason also contributed by bringing a big bag of spray paint - the retired vandal that he is. Thanks to Jason for bringing some edge to Crafty Club. Seriously though, now our plaques can experience some quick and easy color, and any other craft that requires paint.

I’m so happy we had such a big group today in Ms. Richey’s room, everyone had such good contributions to the discussion. Even the kid from E-zine that was working on his own stuff was helpful (he took our group picture.) We are all very excited about beginning the construction of the plaques - we can’t wait to add our own touch to LASA. Keep those donations coming, they really help out. I’ll post the instructions on how to make the plaques soon!
